UKCP guidelines
As a full clinical registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), I am listed on their specialist register for those who have been specifically trained and have met all of the rigorous requirements to work with children and young people. I am bound to adhere to their Code of Conduct and Ethical Guidelines. Details of these can be found here: http://www.psychotherapy.org.uk As required by law, I hold a fully enhanced disclosure with the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) and this is regularly renewed.
Data Protection Policy
Beth Rogan Integrative Child Psychotherapist is a "data controller and processor" meaning that I collect and process personal information about you for the purpose of providing a service to you.
I keep all records securely, and they are only seen by me. Exceptions to that are if you agree to your data being shared to help your child and/or family (for example with other services and health professionals), or if I had concerns for the safety of your child, in which case I am legally and professionally bound to share this with relevant authorities. Personal data is used only for the purpose of providing a service to you. Only essential personal data is collected (eg. name, date of birth, your contact details, and school details). Anonymised notes are kept free of any personal data and are handwritten and kept securely. Electronic records that are kept are: emails between us, emails with your consent to other professionals (eg. school) reports with your consent to other professionals, and invoices/receipts. All electronic data relating to you is encrypted. Beth Rogan complies with the General Data Protection Regulations (2018).
